By RILEY DRURY

August 19, 2026
GRANT CITY, Mo. - A Few Good Men of Worth County donated $4,800 to the Learning Academy on Tuesday, August 18. The money will go toward classroom improvements, as well as building an outdoor play area, which will include a ‘sensory walk’, that will allow students to take off their shoes and walk over various textures.
The Learning Academy was represented by Few Good Men member Logan Ridge, who has had three kids go through the program. He cites that the Learning Academy is operating on a minimal budget, hand-me-down learning materials, and that the class sizes decreased due to alternative preschools opening in the area.It was for this reason that Ridge chose to advocate for the Learning Academy, resulting in the Few Good Men donation.
“There are definitely some prayers answered with this.” Jamie Allee, the head of the Learning Academy said.
